ntklauncher hookengine failure.

I got the zipped file of the ntklauncher.exe and all of that. Trying to play Runegard. The nexus text file is set up correctly, and I believe I set up the hosts correctly in the windows\system32\drivers\etc folder. But it seems that no matter what I do to this thing, when I try to run the launcher, I get a small white error box. It says:

Hookengine.exe has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I'm running on Windows 7. My brother has the exact same pc as I do, and it worked fine on his. The only difference between us, is I run on windows 7.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if you have set up the hosts correctly, you can run nexustk.exe not hookengine.exe. hookengine.exe just for Windows XP or Vista.
